Couture Ketubah Designs

Traditional Jewish Wedding Vows for the Modern Bride

Are you looking for a ketubah of artisan quality that is calligraphed and painted in Israel?

I work with brides and grooms looking to express their unique love story and commitment with a custom ketubah that is entirely handcrafted with elegant Hebrew & English calligraphy and watercolor illustration. I help couples accomplish this and I do it with love and appreciation for every letter and individual brush stroke. Your ketubah is sure to become a talking piece in your home and an heirloom for generations to come.

Important to note: Each ketubah crafted in my studio is uniquely custom and handmade, like the ketubahs of our ancestors. They are never printed. Additionally, I am open to collaborating with other artists should you like me to create the calligraphy alone though my preference is for ketubah commissions including calligraphy & illustration.

*Availability for October 2022 Weddings & onward

Once the couple has decided to go forward, a 50% deposit is paid to confirm the booking and a simple digital contract is signed to make sure all details are clear for everyone. Ketubah pricing varies from approx 2000 to 5000 USD depending on size, illustration intricacy and number of languages.

Sketches & Wording

I provide two pencil sketches with each ketubah booking and one colorized sketch. I also give clients various calligraphy styles and ink colors to choose from. The client can email me with feedback as they please or another call can be scheduled if needed. While sketches are in the works, the couple should get to work finalizing their text with their officiating rabbi. Once that is prepared it should be sent in an editable file like Word or Google docs.

Once the sketch is approved and the text is finalized, I begin creating my clients beautiful ketubah! I always begin with the text and then move on to the illustration. You can get sneak peeks on my Instagram stories as I share progress.

The Big Day!

Once the design is completed and the second deposit is paid, I ship off the custom ketubah with international express couriers and clients should have it in hand within a few business days! So exciting! I recommend displaying the ketubah on an easel at the ceremony to be hands free and for beautiful photos. And once a client, always a client. I am here to help with anything else that might come up. Mazal tov!
